Accelerated Reader

The Accelerated Reader (AR) Program provides a fun and exciting way to promote reading at home and in the classroom. It is a computerized testing program that increases literature-based reading and provides teachers with detailed and objective instructional data.

There are a wide variety of AR books available in our media center and individual classrooms. Some of these titles are also available at your local library. To participate in this program, first through fifth grade students should check out, read, and take the test on these books to earn points toward milestone incentives. Accelerated Reader Point Club Prizes

Popcorn coupons will be awarded when students reach 5, 10, 15, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, and 200 points.
